I have never been a big wing eater but I decided to try out a recipe on my own and see if it made me like them any better. I found a recipe in Shape magazine for Baked Soy-Lime Wings so I decided to look off of that but add my own twist to them. I boiled and broiled them instead of baking to get the extra fat off and then put the sauce on them and added a bit of Parmesan. I am obsessed with french fries, especially when they are sweet potatoes and I also love green beans, they both are always my go-to side dishes.

Parmesan Soy-Lime Wings with Sweet Potato Fries and Green Beans

Parmesan Soy-Lime Wings

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 24 chicken wings, skin removed
  • 6 tomatillos, diced
  • 3/4 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Place wings in a large pot and fill with water to cover by about 2 inches, bring to a boil; continue boiling 10 minutes. Drain
  2. Meanwhile in a medium bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients
  3. Transfer wings to a broiler pan and broil about 5 minutes on each side or until skin starts to blister and brown
  4. Pour the sauce over the wings and broil again for about 1 minute to heat wings with the sauce

Sweet Potato Fries

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes, chopped into 1/2 in squares
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375
  2. Mix potatoes with olive oil and seasonings and place on greased cookie sheet
  3. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until crispy

*Served with Green Beans from Salmon Patties with Creamy Mashed Cauliflower and Green Beans
